In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Daly City; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Daly City is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Daly City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

All you can eat hotpot. You can't beat seapot if you're craving hotpot. Service is fast and efficient. You literally get to choose what you want to eat on the conveyor belt. The soup is delicious. The selection is robust. Wereally enjoyed our meal here and we had 8 people! Great for parties. The only issue is that you will smell after eating here. Just make sure you wear your stretchy pants and outfit.

We like the concept of convey belt AYCE since it allows us to grab smaller portions and also no need to wait long times for the items to come out. You still order the meats with the waiter but they come very quickly and checked on us often to see if we wanted more. We usually do hotpot only but did the BBQ addition this past time, IMO it’s not really necessary and a little overkill. Just hotpot is enough, and price is decent compared to alternatives. Also appreciate the side dishes, fruits, desserts, and sauce bar. Something’s to get us started while waiting for our soups, and to finish off the meal. Wait times can be long but you can join waitlist on yelp ahead of time (the time predilections tend to be wrong and longer though), thankfully they have a large waiting area and seats.

It's my first time coming to this place, and oh man, it was so hard to choose what broth to get! I ended up with my go-to broth, the spicy Sichuan, and my husband got the miso (he wasn't ready and just chose the first one he saw that wasn't spicy). Long story short, we ordered too much, ate too much, drank too much soda and water, and walked away feeling full, happy, and very satisfied. The spicy Sichuan broth was really good and actually spicy- at least, at first. I'm a spice psycho, so what generally starts out spicy becomes not spicy towards the end for me but the flavor was SO. GOOD! Our waiter was Anthony, and he was really fast and really good at getting our meats to us. I'm really sad we don't have this in Wa state, but that just means I have to come back to Cali and especially Seapot 😁

All around delicious and no wait for dinner in the evening on a weekday. I took my picky dad to dinner and he loved it! If youre looking for an all encompassing experience, look no further. They also have a bar and nice table setup like a waiting area for parties waiting for a table. Good place to watch sports as well!

Great bargain for your money 💰 Had lunch with my son and we were both still full at dinner time. Service was great! Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. The rib eye was salty. Wish they had sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls. They had very good sesame seed balls. I have been to Mumu's and The Warehouse in Foster City but I would choose Seapot as my go to place for hot pot.
